“Runaway Love” Poetry by me

Let us be together forever
Only we will know
Vicariously through others together
Eventually they’ll know

Lies turn to fights
Understand my plea
Sinister feelings, cut the lights
Twisted mystery

Muffled voices now I can’t even breath
Understand I love you; This is what I need

Running from my fears, we
Died together that night
Eventually they will see…a
Runaway love affair

“Freedom from Chains” A Bible Study #3

Today I’d like to study the fact that God’s power is true.  That He alone can free us from anything and everything we get ourselves into.  God has done many miraculous works in my life, and made me realize through punishment the errors of my ways.  Like I’ve said before, I’m not perfect.  I make mistakes just like any other person in this world, but I have realized that God forgives us, and when He forgives us, He forgets about the sin that we have done.  God only wants us to believe in Him, and know that His purpose is better than the ideas we have in our mind.  He controls everything.  He has the major blueprint to the world.  One major downfall I see is those who wind up in jail.  Sometimes people wind up in jail, and they haven’t done anything at all.  Just the wrong place wrong time.  Sometimes people wind up in jail, and realize that they weren’t living their lives for God.  I like to look at that as a wake up call.  God will do some crazy things to make us realize that we need to come back home.  He tries to make us realize that we need to look to Him for guidance, and to stop trying to do everything on our own.  I have a number of scriptures to look at tonight, so maybe you should get out a pen and some paper, or just open up Microsoft word or notepad, and jot these verses down.  They will surely help you, or a loved one, in times of trouble.

The first thing God wants us to realize is that we shouldn’t fear what people on earth can do to us.  He is the ultimate decision maker.  He makes the rules!  God says this to the Israelites when they fear what slavery will do to them.  (Think about it this way, the Israelites weren’t exactly trusting God.  They continued in their wrong ways, but this time God came around to tell them….hey guys, quit fooling around.  I has a purpose for you.  I don’t want you here.  I don’t want to see you hurting.  Now, the israelites are looking to God to deliver them from captivity.  They are looking for deliverance from chains!)

Isaiah 51:12  “I, EVEN I, AM HE WHO COMFORTS YOU AND GIVES YOU ALL THIS JOY, SO WHAT RIGHT HAVE YOU TO FEAR MERE MORTAL MEN, WHO WHITHER LIKE THE GRASS AND DISAPPEAR?” (KJV)

God is telling us right there that man has no idea what the outcome of anything is going to be.  Only God holds that in his head.  As servants of the Lord, we shouldn’t fear anything.  We are the most powerful army on earth.  Nothing can stand in the way of God’s plans!

Isaiah 50:7-9  “Because the Lord God helps me, I will not be dismayed; therefore, I have set my face like flint to do his will, and I know that I will triumph.  He who gives me justice is near.  Who will dare to fight against me now?  Where are my enemies?  Let them appear!  See, the Lord God is for me!  Who shall declare me guilty?  All my enemies shall be destroyed like old clothes eaten up by moths!” (KJV)

Now looking at those words delivered by a servant of God, shouldn’t we all have that relentless faith.  God can do anything!  Philippians 4:13  “I can do everything through him who gives me strength.” (NIV) Which means you can do anything through God!

Don’t be dismayed when you think you don’t have the best lawyer to plead your case, and I’ll tell you why.  There is no better lawyer than God himself.  Jeremiah recognized it in the Bible, and so should all Christians.  Even God says it himself!

Jeremiah 51:36 …”I WILL BE YOUR LAWYER; I WILL PLEAD YOUR CASE; I WILL AVENGE YOU.” (KJV)

Jeremiah was in jail for simply spreading the message to the masses, but God saved him.  Lamentations 3:58  “O Lord, you are my lawyer!  Plead my case!  For you have redeemed my life.  You have seen the wrong they did to me; be my Judge, to prove me right.” (KJV) Here we also see that God not only is our lawyer, but our Judge as well.  Look at it this way, everyone in the court of law is only a messenger.  God controls what happens in there, and He controls what the people say.  We just have to realize that God is our EVERYTHING!  We have to turn our heads to Him and pray for forgiveness for our sin.  We have to have complete faith in the fact that He knows what is best, and He will do what is right!  Jeremiah 17:14  “Lord, you alone can heal me, you alone can save, and my praises are for you alone….the plan is yours, not mine…” (KJV) Sometimes we feel as though God isn’t there, but He is, but it never hurts to pray and ask God not to leave you.  Ask Him to surround you, and lift you up.  Isaiah 30:19  “…you shall weep no more, for he will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry.  He will answer you.” (KJV)

The thing is, We can’t just pray and hope everything turns out okay.  We have to LIVE OUR LIVES FOR GOD!  He gave them to us.  It is only right that we do.  God says He will save us, but we have to turn back to Him.  We have to ask His forgiveness.

Isaiah 30:15  “…ONLY IN RETURNING TO ME AND WAITING FOR ME WILL YOU BE SAVED; IN QUIETNESS AND CONFIDENCE IS YOUR STRENGTH…” (KJV)

Again, WE don’t have the plan GOD does.  He will bring justice.  To those who don’t have this problem of jail, maybe you have chains in your own life that are holding you back from doing God’s will.  Sins are chains.  God can save you from that too.  No matter what it is God can help you.  Now, there are people who have never been in trouble with the law.  I must tip my hat to you.  Good Job, but God tells us to never forget those who are in jail.  So, it is our duty to pray for those who are in jail.  To pray for those who are hurting.

Hebrews 13:3  “Don’t forget those in jail.  Suffer with them as though you were there yourself.  Share the sorrow of those being mistreated, for you know what they are going through.” (KJV)

God has touched me with this message, and I hope He can touch you with it as well.  God will save you!  I promise!  If you have anything that you would like me to pray about.  Please feel free to contact me at sk8ter30030@hotmail.com  Those emails will be read promptly and you will definitely be in my prayers!  I am praying for all Christians.  I pray we only become closer to God day by day!

Sincerely, your brother in Christ,

Joseph

“The Best and Worst” poetry by me

The hardest parts of life
are the easiest to explain
You take a chance, You take a risk
And you fall straight on your face

Some will try and catch you
Others will help you fall
And Others in this world
will do absolutely nothing at all

But without these risks you’ll surely find
Your life to be terribly bland
Because You’ll never actually have the chance
To grab the reigns by the hand.

The best parts of life
Are the hardest to explain
We take a moment from our time
And freeze it in a picture frame

Something so simple
In something so complex
A simple memory
Our complex brain erects

Risky adventures, familiar friends
Finding out what lies just beyond the bend
Fear and Faith, Truth and Lies
Lifting our heads to the skies

Feeling weightless on the top of a mountain
Taking in the beauty of it all
Gathering up the courage and strength
To jump and fly, not fall

Grab life by the horns
because there is beauty in the best
The best points in our lives
Our described at our final rest.

Live a good life
Do everything in God’s plan
Never let anyone tell you
You can’t because You CAN!

Cancer in Coke.

I have noticed that a lot of people have read my blog about cancer in my cola. So, Instead of just giving my side of the story, I have decided to get more information on it so that the public can also know about it through this blog.

When I said there was a possibility that coca-cola products could cause cancer, I wasn’t false. The coca-cola company denies the fact that there is a cancer causing agent in their beverages, but numerous lab studies on field mice have shown results for cancer in them. The cancer causing agent is the caramel coloring in the drink. The caramel is not your average caramel you would make from melting sugar on the stove but instead made by reacting sugar with ammonia and sulphites under high pressure and temperatures. This mixture forms two cancer causing agents. (2-MI and 4-MI)

That is where the ban comes in. An influential lobby group has shown the cancer being formed from this mixture and has asked that it be banned from not only coca-cola, but pepsi and other food products. So this isn’t just an attack on the coke company, but other companies as well.

The Coca-Cola company has said that there are no traces of 2-MEI in their drinks and only small traces of 4-MEI in the beverage. They claim that this lobby group is trying to hurt them for something that they aren’t doing. They claim that there is no cancer causing chemicals in the beverage and they are not going to change it.

In my opinion, Coke has every right to deny this claim. If they have tested it and found nothing wrong, then who is this lobby group to say they are wrong. They are testing it in field mice, not humans. Which, of course, (Human testing) is illegal, but still there is no 100% clear evidence that the drink causes cancer. The removal of this coloring would probably completely alter the taste of the beverage and it might just not taste like coca-cola anymore. Plus, I’m tired of Coca-Cola changing their flavors. I like it the way it is now, and I’d like it to stay that way. Plus, who would want to drink a clear colored coke. It wouldn’t look right. You would think it is sprite. Until there is 100% clear evidence to the fact that cancer has a direct correlation to coca-cola products, I feel as if these statements do not need to be made public. It’s just another statement to scare people into thinking that there is something wrong with everything we eat or drink.

I hope this provides more information…my resource is this website…go here if you want to read exactly what they have to say.

The Potters Hand…A Bible Study #2

God is so powerful that He can change any situation, man, or object into something He can use. He turned a Christ hating man named Saul into a man who would write many books in the Bible, and bring many people to Christ. He took a little boy named Joseph, and made him overseer of a nation. God is our potter, and we are His artwork. He can mold us, shape us, and change us into anything. He can save us from the darkest of situations. All He has to do is take what we have formed ourselves into and form us back into a ball and start again. He can save us from our sins and make us without blemish. All we have to do is repent, and God will take us into His hands and make us new again. He could be allowing the devil to take us and destroy us, but all we have to do is turn to Him and do as He asks and He will make everything better!

Jeremiah 18:1-6 says this:

(KJV) “Here is another message to Jeremiah from the Lord: “GO DOWN TO THE SHOP WHERE CLAY POTS AND JARS ARE MADE, AND I WILL TALK TO YOU THERE.” I did as he told me and found the potter working at his wheel. But the jar that he was forming didn’t turn out as he wished, so he kneaded it into a lump and started again. Then the Lord said: “O ISRAEL, CAN’T I DO TO YOU AS THIS POTTER HAS DONE TO HIS CLAY? AS THE CLAY IS IN THE POTTER’S HAND, SO ARE YOU IN MY HAND.”"

This is God’s direct word to us saying that He is our maker. He can change anything. He can fix anything! Don’t take this for granted though because in that same chapter in verses 9 and 10 God says this…

“AND IF I ANNOUNCE THAT I WILL MAKE A CERTAIN NATION STRONG AND GREAT, BUT THEN THAT NATION CHANGES ITS MIND, TURNS TO EVIL, AND REFUSES TO OBEY ME, THEN I, TOO, WILL CHANGE MY MIND AND NOT BLESS THAT NATION AS I HAD SAID I WOULD.”

God can change things for the good, but He can also destroy everything if we do not listen to Him. He is controller over all things. All things on Earth are His, not ours, and if we do not realize that, it can be easily taken away from us. This life is not our own, It is His! We have to turn to Him even when we know we have sinned. He sees everything, but He is forgiving. Take time to get on your knees and pray that you recognize Him as your potter. Pray that He takes your life and molds into what HE needs, not what you want. God will bless you in many ways if you give your life to Him.

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed this and maybe got something out of it. Keep coming back every day for more lessons from the Bible :)

Your Brother in Christ,
Joseph

“Young Lovers”

Convenient, to say the least,
The thoughts in my mind
There is always an answer
To a troublesome time.

Is it my mind
Or something profound
Maybe It’s me
But, then again, I’m just speaking out loud.

Worry clouds my perception
Blocks my joy
Some new invention
Oh, It’s a boy!

Hopefully soon I’ll see a smile
Till then I’ll grow up
Just have to deal with fights a while
She tells her friends, “Soon he will walk”

Sleepless Nights
Tossing and Turning
Mid-morning Frights
Crying and Yearning

Young we are now
Soon we will have grown
These hard times now
Will only bring the best I’ve known!

Temptation…A Bible Study.

On earth, there are temptations all around us. If they be drugs, sex, lust, greed, or anything that could possibly tempt you to do something you are not really supposed to. As the Body of Christ, we are supposed to live our lives like Christ. Jesus was tempted just like we are by the devil himself. The devil actually appeared to Jesus and told Him to do something that He wasn’t supposed to. The devil will attack you always. That will never end. So, when these temptations come along just remember what Jesus did.

Matthew 4:1-11 says this:

(KJV) “Then Jesus was led out into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit, to be tempted there by Satan. For forty days and forty nights he ate nothing and became very hungry. Then Satan tempted him to get food by changing stones into loaves of bread. ‘It will prove you are the Son of God,’ he said. But Jesus told him, ‘NO! FOR THE SCRIPTURES TELL US THAT BREAD WON’T FEED MEN’S SOULS: OBEDIENCE TO EVERY WORD OF GOD IS WHAT WE NEED.’ Then Satan took him to Jerusalem to the roof of the Temple. ‘Jump off,’ he said, ‘and prove you are the Son of God; for the Scriptures declare, ‘God will send his angels to keep you from harm,’…they will prevent you from smashing on the rocks below.’ Jesus retorted, ‘IT ALSO SAYS NOT TO PUT THE LORD YOUR GOD TO A FOOLISH TEST!’ Next Satan took him to the peak of a very high mountain and showed him the nations of the world and all their glory. ‘I’ll give it all to you,’ he said, ‘if you will only kneel and worship me.’ ‘GET OUT OF HERE, SATAN,’ Jesus told him. ‘THE SCRIPTURES SAY, ‘WORSHIP ONLY THE LORD GOD. OBEY ONLY HIM.” Then Satan went away, and angels came and cared for Jesus.

Now maybe the devil won’t tempt you as hard as he did Jesus, but he may tempt you with something your struggling with. (such as an addiction) Addiction is a terrible thing to break. It is tough to cope with not doing something you have been doing for a long time. I know from experience, and the devil still tempts me to this day. I am no perfect man, but I strive to be like Christ. That is what we should all do. Just look at what Jesus himself went through, and see how hard it was. He fasted for forty days and forty nights, and still didn’t give into the devil. He attacked him with scripture. Scripture is our sword. It is God’s direct word to us. If you are ever feeling attacked, attack back with the Word of God! The devil will flee at these attacks, and God will smile on you.

Also, looking in Ephesians 6, Paul teaches us that we need to have faith! God will protect you as long as you look to Him for guidance! We are His children, and God doesn’t get joy out of seeing you fail! Pray in faith and believe that God will save you because He will!

Thank you for reading, and if you have any questions or comments feel free to ask me. I am not perfect, but God is and I will pray that He gives me the correct answer to all of your questions! Also, don’t be afraid to ask me to pray for you! I will gladly do that because God says we are to pray for all of His children. Believers and Non-Believers!

Sincerely, your brother in Christ,
Joseph

“A Fair Affair-Confessions of a Knight”

I stand here before you
My fellow followers of the King
I have been through triumph, and defeat
And I was denied a certain ring

I can’t stand here and say
I’m a man without a sin
But a man that’s crushed at best
Her heart I could never win

I tell myself day by day
I wish my thoughts were telekinetic
My heart has become one with hers
This love is just too dramatic

I have come to reality now
At this table I feel her disdain
But when we are apart from you
My King I do betray.

Yes, my life I fear for this
But with her I’m unafraid
It’s as if I were two different men
My joy can never be explained

Soon this setting will NOT EXIST
I will NOT be a part of this!
I will crack this Table right in two
Before My Love is through

Just then I thought
It was A Fair Affair
(To disagree was hard)
Who knew we would soon be caught
And I’d protect her at Joyous Gard.

I loved her so, great lengths I’d go
My desire did overpower
My eyes did play a trick on me
A guise I would encounter.

Whoa, how I thought my love was clean
My love turned to mud by Pelles lair
A child was born, The sin was seen
This no longer was A Fair Affair.

Whoa now, I can’t believe the secret was uncovered
Two, who in the future would betray the King, discovered
Two evil sons of Adam revealed what was close to me
And when they found us out, Her very heart was ripped from me

The King said she’d be put to death
As he loathed at her betrayal.
But I would not let her be put to rest
By any person, flame, or metal

I stormed into the castle there
And I took her by the hand
And with the tip of my sword
I slayed the brother of a man!

Just like I said, I cracked the table
I split it right in two
I was denied my one true love
What more was I to do?

I was punished for my sins
The sins of this affair
My very son was given my quest
When I was denied the Holy Grail

Though I feel I’m a part of this world
I know my soul is gone
It never works out the way we want
I was never given the right to love.

I let her go
I gave her back
And now I know
It’s her love I lack.

I wish I had a chance to tell
Of feelings left unspoken
I know that I might burn in hell
But I don’t want my rights to love taken.

I got back with the evil one
The bearer of my son
Now I’m kneeling here on my knees
Confessing what I’ve done.

“All In One” poetry by me

I write because I can
If I couldn’t I wouldn’t
With a pen in my hand
The world is my puppet
You could be a bird
If I put my mind to it
My voice will be heard
If I put my pen to it
I’m a freethinker
A sarcastic winker
I’m Bond, James Bond
I’m a Singer of a Song
I’m a Bird
I’m a Plane
A Poet Nonetheless
I won’t be happy
Unless I can Rest
And I won’t rest
Till my work is published.

Gas Prices.

In North Carolina gas prices are 3.50 a gallon and higher.
That’s ridiculous. Gas stations raise the prices due to the expectant conflicts with libya….
How can they have the right to raise prices even if they don’t have to fill their gas tanks for a while. They overcharge us for gas they paid for cents on the dollar. It’s crazy to me.
Who is against it? I’d like to hear other comments too…
so…if you wanna chat about it please post back. :)
thanks.
-Joseph
